Craft Fair, Flea Market and Fun Fair Coming to Library

Unique hand-made crafts and a large variety of gently-used items will be for sale at the World Bazaar Craft Fair and Flea Market, noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 14 at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd. The Craft Fair and Flea Market will be held in the Rasmussen Room on the library's second floor, next to a Fun Fair for children.

Both events are free and part of the library's National Library Week kick-off celebration, which includes a prize wheel and Book Walk on the first floor. In the lobby, international music selections will be performed by pianist Wayne Richards. This year's National Library Week theme is “A World of Resources at Your Library.” No fee or registration is required.

At the Craft Fair and Flea Market, some tables will hold flea-market type items such as Spring décor, books, toys, small household appliances, electronic games and DVDs. Second-hand clothes, including jackets and” like-new” girls dresses, will also be among the items for sale. Local crafters and artists will be selling creative home décor, jewelry, hand-blown glass, handbags and more. Additionally, international, fair trade items will be on sale from Gifts of the World, which helps support artisans in developing countries. All ages are welcome, but children age 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Prices are not negotiable and only cash and checks will be accepted.

All ages are welcome to attend these free National Library Week events.
