Local company supports families in need with moving assistance

Hoffman Estates, IL (March 15, 2013) – Two Men and a Truck Lake County/Schaumburg, a group offering local and long distance moving services, has begun a partnership with Fellowship Housing to assist in moving homeless and at-risk single mothers into apartments for no cost.

A company that strives for care and respect of their clients, Two Men and a Truck Lake County/Schaumburg are making an impact in the local community. “When a family is in crisis, moving from place to place is a magnified stressor, even if the family is moving into a more long term situation,” explained Program Director for Fellowship Housing, Lisa Bohn. “Having Two Men and Truck be available for our families, helping to manage the move and doing so with care is a big relief for our families.”

Once a family is moved into an apartment, Fellowship Housing focuses on financial training as a means to future stable housing. Case managers work one on one with each mom to help set goals and provide accountability so they can move toward independence and a bright financial future.
