Woman of the Century

DuPage-Will Hadassah will be celebrating the “Woman of the Century “ in recognition of Hadassah's 100th year anniversary. This celebration honors the woman who has made the most significant contributions to her chapter. DuPage-Will Hadassah will be honoring Elaine Beyer. The luncheon honoring Elaine will be held on Sunday, April 21st at Francesca's, 18 West Jefferson Avenue, Naperville 60540 at 11:30 AM. The cost of the luncheon is $50.

Elaine was a founding member of DuPage-Will Hadassah and has served in almost every position, including two terms as President and 14 years as Fund Raising Vice President. She has also been on the regional board as Area Vice President and New Chapter Liaison. Elaine has stated, “Hadassah has been a big and important part of my life for many years, I do not plan to quit, just slow down”.

Elaine has lived in many places traveling with her husband Mike, to whom she has been married since 1960. They have two children, Jeff and Robin, and 10 grandchildren. Elaine has started 3 successful catering businesses in locations where she has settled with her family.

Hadassah is a volunteer women's organization, 330,000 strong, which has a partnership with the land and people of Israel. Hadassah hospitals do trailblazing research into stem cell treatment, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons' disease and Alzheimers. The hospitals treat Jews, Arabs and Muslims. Besides supporting Israel, Hadassah makes a difference locally with health education programs, activism on issues through advocacy and community projects.
