Schaumburg ISU student named assistant external director

Brittany Downey of Schaumburg is serving as the Assistant External Director for Illinois State University's student radio station, WZND.

As the External Relations Director, Downey is responsible for planning station events and keeping contact with alumni. She also works with WZND's professional broadcast partners, including Illinois Broadcast Association. This is Downey's third semester working for WZND.

Downey, daughter of Cynthia, graduated Schaumburg High School in 2009. She plans on graduating in December, 2013 with a major in Mass Media, Promotions and Sales.
