Handmade valentine workshops at Arlington Hts. museum

Make this Valentine's Day special with greetings you create yourself. The Arlington Heights Historical Museum is offering two workshops to make handmade cards and gifts for that special someone. Dee Tollaksen, Stampin' Up demonstrator will show you how to stamp, cut and emboss to make these personalized items.

“Trendy Tags for Valentine's Day” will create gift tags to decorate toiletry bottles, gift boxes and chocolate bars for unique and special Valentine's gifts. Make four items using stamping techniques to cleverly wrap the bottles and bars. Sunday, Feburary 10, 3:00-4:00 p.m.

“Valentine's Greetings” will make handmade, unique Valentine's cards with three different designs using stamping techniques. Sunday, February 10, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Each workshop is $13 and is for all ages of teens and adults, high school through retirees. To register, go to ahmuseum.org, click on the “classes/programs” tab and follow the link to the program of your choice. You may also register in person at any Arlington Heights Park District office.
