Friends of Burlington Gives the Community Support Fund Raising a Facelift

The past few years have been quite successful for funding the community events.

For that the Friends of Burlington are very thankful. The community residents and businesses as well as visitors to the events have given just enough to make things happen.

This year it will be designed to make the fund raiser a raffle with bigger and better rewards. The price tag may be considered to be steep so we are encouraging families to combine their funds toward a chance at the following.

There will only be 200 - $100.00 tickets processed with 8 prizes that make it interesting. The prizes are one - $2,000.00 Cash prize, one - $1,000.00 cash prize, $1,000.00 gas from BP (Burlington Oasis), Full house (up to $1,500.00) floor cleaning service (Enviroclean of Illinois), one - 3 day Summer weekend in the Lake Geneva area, ($1,200.00 value), or one 3 day Fall weekend in Galena IL ($1,200.00 value)and two - $500.00 cash prizes.

Ticket sales begin January 1st and end March 1st. Sales will be made by mail only so please act now, do not lose this information. If you need more details please contact Mary Lake at Marylake48@yahoo.com.

You may send a check written to Friends of Burlington. Please write in the memo “Fundraiser 2012-13”. We will send confirmation of your purchase when it is received. Tickets will be first come first serve and there is not a limit of the number of tickets you may purchase.

Please reserve your ticket by sending your pledge to Friends of Burlington, P.O. Box 52, Burlington IL 60109. You will receive a raffle/support ticket for this great event. The drawing is expected to take place in March during the Lioness raffle at Motts Lounge. We will remind the owners of the tickets when the date is closer and we would hope to see many at Motts that evening.

We hope you like this approach and we look forward to great 4th of July and Fall Fest events again in 2013.

As always, come out to enjoy these days with your neighbors, celebrate with your families, and thank you for making this community stand out from the others!
