No protection for the taxpayer

The president of the Illinois Retired Teachers Assn. states, “There is a panicked attempt to strip teachers and other public workers of their constitutionally guaranteed pension benefits.”

Unfortunately, there is no constitutional guarantee that private sector taxpayers won’t be robbed of their legitimately earned income in order to pay for public sector pensions improperly managed by the Illinois legislature.
