Garage burns in Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake Fire Department officials said Friday a fully involved detached garage fire was extinguished Thursday soon after crews arrived on scene. The fire at 291 McHenry Ave. was reported at 3:02 p.m. and was brought under control in 19 minutes, authorities said. One occupant of the property was taken to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock with minor injuries. An initial estimate reported damage to the structure and contents to each at $10,000.
