Schaumburg A.M. Rotary names its Harris Fellow

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary Club President Greg Ring and Jim McKenzie, Rotary Foundation Chair for the club recognized fellow member Brian Bieschke as a Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International at its Dec. 19 meeting.

This recognition was created in memory of Paul Harris, who founded the organization known as Rotary International, with three business associates in Chicago, in 1905.

Paul Harris Fellows have either personally contributed $1,000, or have had that amount contributed in their name, to the annual Programs Fund of The Rotary Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. To date, more than 1 million individuals have been recognized as Paul Harris Fellows.

Bieschke is employed as a service delivery engineer for UbiStor Inc., a privately held IT managed solutions company, in Schaumburg, specializing in data protection and management, tiered recovery and hosting solutions.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary, a multigenerational group of men and women, representing a cross section of the local business and professional community, meets weekly on Wednesday mornings from 7-8 a.m. at the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates.
