Two injured in Fox Lake crash

Two people have been hospitalized after a three-car crash in Fox Lake Friday morning, according to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

Sgt. Sara Balmes said in an email that one of the drivers had a punctured and bruised lung and broken rib. She said weather was a contributing factor in the crash.

There were reports that the crash occurred near IL-134 and Wilson Road sometime before 8:30 a.m. and that it shut down traffic between IL-134 and Nippersink Road for a few hours.
