Messiah Child Care Open House January 28
Messiah Lutheran Child Care Center in Park Ridge currently has openings for your preschool and kindergarten age child in the morning preschool and full-day classes. There are also openings for the Tuesday/Thursday and Wednesday/Friday younger 3 year old classes beginning January 9, 2013 and for the winter parent/tot class beginning January 7th. The spring parent/tot program will begin March 18.
Messiah provides a nurturing environment where the individual, physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual growth of each child is encouraged and celebrated. Messiah has a variety of programs suited for your child ages 3 to 5, including kindergarten, junior kindergarten, preschool and full day child care. Preschool is divided into classrooms for younger 3 year olds, older 3 year olds and 4 year old children. In addition, the parent/tot class is for children between the ages of 18 and 36 and centers around stories, songs, finger play, art projects and ample free time for play and interaction.
Messiah has convenient scheduling where children can attend a minimum of 2 days per week, up to 5 days per week, and either half or full days. For children who stay through lunch, Messiah provides a healthy, catered lunch approved by a registered dietitian. As always, Messiah is a peanut-free environment.
The last week in November, Messiah children took a field trip to see Cinderella at the Marriot Lincolnshire Children's Theater. It was a great experience for the children see a favorite story come to life.
Since then, each class has been busy preparing for the Christmas Program. Parents, grandparents and other family members are invited to come watch their child perform and join us for a celebration afterwards.
Upcoming events and fundraisers at Messiah include:
• Kindergarten/Junior Kindergarten Open House on Monday, January 28th for children and parents interested in our Kindergarten/Jr. Kindergarten programs. The open house will run from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and in the afternoon from 1:00 p.m.– 2:30 p.m.. Children who will have turned 5 years old by September 1, 2013 will be eligible for the '13-'14 Kindergarten class.
• Mark your calendars for this year's Family Fun Fair on Saturday, May 18, 2013. This is a great way to meet staff and other families of Messiah.
