Willow Creek Christmas services begin Thursday

Willow Creek Community Church’s Christmas services, titled “When All Hope Was Lost, the Salvage Mission Began,” tells the epic story of God’s plan to restore the world through a most unlikely hero — a baby.

“God’s salvage mission has been going on since before Adam and Eve,” says Blaine Hogan, Willow Creek’s creative director.

Sharing the traditional story of Christmas — the story of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus — the South Barrington church connects it to a larger narrative of God’s story as told in scripture.

“We’re excited to tell this story of God and humankind within the context of the birth of Jesus,” Hogan said.
