Lisle woman charged in Naperville armed robberies
A 22-year-old Lisle woman has been charged with aggravated robbery after police said she displayed a handgun in one robbery and one foiled robbery Thursday in Naperville.
Ana M. Barajas, of the 4400 block of Blackhawk Lane, was being held on $75,000 bail Friday in DuPage County jail. Police said she was taken into custody outside her apartment and evidence of the crime was found inside.
Police said they first responded at 5:56 p.m. Thursday to a Phillips 66 gasoline station on the 1100 block of Ogden Ave. where a clerk told them a masked intruder brandished a semiautomatic handgun and demanded money. The suspect, described as a short Hispanic woman wearing a mask and hooded sweatshirt, fled with $300 and 10 packs of cigarettes.
Slightly more than an hour later, police were called to CD One Price Cleaners on the 300 block of Ogden where a suspect matching the same description entered the store and displayed a gun.
Store employees said they recognized the woman’s voice as a former employee and she ultimately revealed herself.
