WFMT to feature Hersey High School Band

WFMT radio will feature the John Hersey High School Symphonic Band on its “Introductions” program at 11 a.m. on Dec. 8. The program will include clips from some of the band’s performances, such as its concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York, Symphony Center in Chicago and its 2012 award-winning performance at the Illinois SuperState Concert Band Festival at the University of Illinois, Champaign.

The show will rebroadcast Thursday, Dec. 13, at 10 p.m. and will be online at wfmt.com/introductions after the first broadcast.
