Same old tune on bipartisanship

Today as I unfolded the Daily Herald, the first words to get my attention were in dark print: “Vowing to be open, bipartisan.” I had not even glanced at the article to see which of our politicians was making this pledge when the words and melody for a very old song began playing in my mind: “It seems to me I’ve heard that song before.” Betty Grenda
