School District 103 recognizes School Board Members Day

Nov. 15, 2012, is designated as School Board Members Day in Illinois. Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 is joining with others across the State to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the men and women who provide the grassroots governance for our public elementary school district.

More than any other public servant, school board members must listen to the voices of the community and then craft a vision, mission and goals for the district to accurately reflect those voices. School Board members in School District 103 work diligently to create the best educational environment possible with funds available, and to help the district prepare today's students to be productive citizens and leaders in a global economy.

Dr. Scott Warren, Superintendent of Schools, relates, “As elected officials, school board members are the collective voice of our communities on behalf of children. Our Board of Education members develop policies and make decisions on complex educational and social issues, which directly impact the community and the lives of our 1,635 students. The results of their efforts are beyond measure. We look forward to publicly recognizing them at the November 13th Board of Education meeting.”

We encourage our community members to join us in thanking the Board of Education members for their extraordinary dedication to educational excellence for District 103 students. The men and women currently serving on the Board of Education for Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 follow:
