Story of real ‘Rosie the Riveter’ in Schaumburg

Local writer and performer Lynn Rymarz will debut her new one-woman show, “I Am Rosie the Riveter,” at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at Friendship Village in Schaumburg.

Rymarz portrays and tells the life story of Geraldine Hoff Doyle, who was the image of Rosie the Riveter in the iconic “We Can Do It!” posters during World War II. Rymarz’s research included meeting with Hoff Doyle’s daughter.

Future performances are scheduled at venues in Arlington Heights, Prospect Heights, Park Ridge and West Chicago. For more information, visit lynnrymarz.com.
