Lakes 56, Vernon Hills 12: The Eagles maintained their first-place lead in the North Suburban Prairie, improving to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the division.

Lakes can win their first outright NSC Prairie championship with a win against North Chicago next Friday.

Vernon Hills (1-7, 0-5) lost its seventh straight.
