Wheaton man facing child porn charges

A 28-year-old Wheaton man is facing possession of child pornography charges after an undercover investigation by Wheaton police and the DuPage County sheriff’s office.

Michael J. Kochan of Knollwood Drive in Wheaton has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, according to a statement released Monday by Wheaton police. Additional details weren’t released.

Kochan was taken into custody Thursday by investigators, authorities said. After being booked at the Wheaton police station, he was transferred to the DuPage County jail, where he was being held on $50,000 bail.
