Michael Flynn Named VP/CFO of Friendship Senior Options

Schaumburg, IL. Michael Flynn has been selected as the new Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Friendship Senior Options (FSO) of Schaumburg. FSO is the parent of senior living affiliates including Friendship Village of Schaumburg, GreenFields of Geneva and Friendship Senior Service Foundation.

He is a knowledgeable and effective advocate for older adults and FSO's strong commitment to senior living. He brings a considerable financial skill set to FSO, having worked extensively in internal financial processes and externally with rating agencies, regulators and capital financing partners,” said Stephen A. Yenchek, President and CEO of Friendship Senior Options.

Flynn is a familiar face at FSO, as he previously worked in a number of financial positions including CFO of Friendship Village of Schaumburg for more than 15 years. He joined Smith Senior Living as their CFO in 2005, then serving as their CEO 2006-2012. Throughout his career Mike has been active in Life Services Network and Leading Age as speaker and currently chairs the Financial Advisory Panel for Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Mike holds a BS in Accounting from DePaul University and MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. He resides with his family in Arlington Heights.
