Join Golfing for a Cure Sept. 24 wtih Scoreboard Bar & Grill
LAKE ZURICH, IL (September 20, 2012) - In honor of September being Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Scoreboard Bar & Grill is hosting a golf outing on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 to benefit The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF).
Prostate Cancer survivor and owner of Scoreboard, Joe Schweda, will administer the event with a noon tee-off at Prairie Isle Golf Club, 2216 Route 176, Prairie Grove. The golf outing will conclude in the evening with dinner, contests and a raffle at Scoreboard, 84 North Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich.
Scoreboard will donate thirty-one percent of its golf outing proceeds and one-hundred percent of all raffle sales to The Prostate Cancer Foundation.
"This is a cause close to my heart," says Joe Schweda. "I hope our efforts highly benefit PCF, make a difference for those currently suffering from the disease, and inspire the community. If you enjoy golfing and/or supporting a good cause, I encourage you to come out. It will be a fun time."
Joe Schweda was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in early 2005. He went into remission and was clear of the cancer by 2006.
