Schaumburg Citizen Police Academy accepting applications
The Schaumburg Police Department is accepting applications for the 32nd session of its Citizen Police Academy. Anybody 18 years of age and older who resides or works in Schaumburg is eligible to apply.
Classes are held at the police station at 1000 W. Schaumburg Road on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The fall session starts on Sept. 26 and runs for 10 weeks, with graduation on Dec. 5.
Applications can be obtained on the Village of Schaumburg website at villageofschaumburg.co. For additional information, contact Sgt. John Nebl at (847) 348-7276 or jnebl@ci.schaumburg.il.us. The application deadline is Monday, Sept. 17.
