Experienced cardiothoracic surgeon joins Vista Medical Center East

Vista Health System recently announced the addition of Cardiothoracic Surgeon Omid Javadi, M.D., to its medical staff. Dr. Javadi brings extensive credentials to this position and will handle all of his heart, lung and vascular surgical cases exclusively at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.

Dr. Javadi joins Vista after several years of performing cardiothoracic surgery at hospitals in the Phoenix area and in Kentucky. Jumping right into his new role at Vista, he began seeing patients and performed several open heart surgeries within the first couple of days after arriving in August.

Dr. Javadi earned his medical degree from the Brown University-Dartmouth Medical Program in 1999, along with a Master's in Public Health from Columbia University. He completed a residency in General Surgery at NYU Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery.
