District 214 receives budget award
For the third consecutive year, Northwest Suburban High School District 214 has won the Association of School Business Officials International’s “Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting” for having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. The district was recognized for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011. The school district also was recognized two previous years. Recognition through the COE program can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting. The ASBO International is a nonprofit professional association serving more than 6,000 business officials. The award is the only award program specifically designed for school entities’ financial reporting.
