Benjamin Gilchrist Appointed Vice President of Operations at Friendship Senior Options

Schaumburg, IL. Benjamin A. Gilchrist has been selected as the new Vice President of Operations of Friendship Senior Options (FSO) of Schaumburg. FSO is the parent of senior living affiliates including Friendship Village of Schaumburg, GreenFields of Geneva and Friendship Senior Service Foundation.

“We are pleased to welcome Ben into our organization as he brings tremendous leadership skills and impressive experience which reflect our commitment to providing excellence in senior services and care,” said Stephen A. Yenchek, President and CEO of FSO.

Gilchrist is an experienced healthcare operations executive, having lead clinical and professional teams in all levels of senior care. He previously served as the President of Springfield Masonic Community, VP of Operations at Vrable Healthcare and VP of Health Care and Community Services at Maple Knoll Communities, and Administrator at The Laurels of Massillon, all Ohio-based organizations serving senior populations.

“I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to join the Friendship Senior Options team and I look forward to helping the organization meet its strategic vision in the years to come,” said Gilchrist.

Gilchrist holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. A former resident of Columbus, Ohio, Ben, his wife Gina and their three children are working on their relocation plans.
