Wheaton man gets 1 year for throwing brick through police station window
Robert Davison will have some time in prison to think about whether it was a good idea to throw a brick at his local police station.
The Wheaton man pleaded guilty Friday to criminal damage to government supported property and was sentenced to a year behind bars by DuPage County Judge Daniel Guerin, prosecutors said.
Davison, 32, was arrested July 16 after he threw a brick through a lobby window at the Wheaton police station, 900 W. Liberty Drive. Authorities said he had previously thrown rocks at the same building.
The brick caused at least $500 in damage, according to court records.
Davison’s listed address is the Wheaton office of a nonprofit agency for the homeless. By law, he must serve at least six months of his prison term, followed by a year of parole, prosecutors said. Had he been convicted at trial, he could have faced up to five years.
