Michael Ennis is a best-selling author of historical fiction who is also an award-winning art and architecture critic. His latest thriller, "The Malice of Fortune", to be published by Doubleday in September 2012, captures the glorious and gritty details of Renaissance Italy. His previous international best-selling historical novels are "Byzantium" and "Duchess of Milan". Ennis' non-fiction writing, on subjects ranging from military preparedness and national politics to art and architecture, has won several national awards and has been published in a number of books and anthologies as well as magazines ranging from "Esquire" and "Texas Monthly" to "I.D.", "ARTnews", and "Architectural Digest".

Debut novelist, Rebecca Harrington, is a 26-year-old writer living in New York City who studied history and literature at Harvard - which coincidentally is where her first novel takes place. "Penelope", published by Doubleday in August 2012 is a hilarious novel about a young woman facing the angst and absurdities of modern college life. Both a coming-of-age story and a brilliantly-written satire, the book perfectly captures what it's like to want desperately to fit in – even when you're pretty sure that everyone around you is crazy. Gloriously skewering the social hierarchy of college, "Penelope" is the refreshingly funny story of one of the most singular, memorable heroines in recent fiction.
