Lily Lake church to hold rummage sale

Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake will host a summer rummage/estate sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, and Friday, Aug. 17, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

Grace Lutheran generally holds its annual sale in November, but due to the overwhelming donations from several members’ estates, an extra sale was in order.

Even with the major road construction in the immediate area of Lily Lake at routes 64 and 47, there are bargains to be found.

There will be many household items for everyone’s use. A silent auction also will be ongoing for an oil painting by local artist Joan Darflinger, as well as a large handmade dollhouse with all accessories. The “Fill-A-Bag for $5” with clothing will be available and many items are $1.

Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Grace’s Building Fund. Grace Lutheran Church is at 5N600 Hanson Road, just off Empire Road, St. Charles. Hanson Road will be open for those traveling westbound on Route 64. Only Route 47 south of Route 64 will be closed due to construction.
