Bloomingdale KinderCare prepares young students for school success

Children at the Glen Ellyn KinderCare Learning Center in Bloomingdale are mixing summer sun and learning as students and teachers prepare for the upcoming school year. The center, which has been part of the community for 26 years, has been busy preparing for back-to-school and making exciting improvements – all designed to enhance the learning environment. Glen Ellyn KinderCare families are thrilled with the new updates, which include a new playground shade structure and remodeled classrooms.

In addition, the center earned a State of Illinois Quality Counts Childcare grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services for their work in preparing the state's youngest students for academic success. This $12,000 grant was used to purchase new equipment for the center as well as two new computers for each classroom. Children are already having fun playing learning games on the pint-sized computers.

The Glen Ellyn KinderCare accepts children ages six weeks to 12 years and in a variety of programs and classrooms. The center operates from 6:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and is located at 355 S. Glen Ellyn Road, Bloomingdale, IL 60108. For more information, contact: Lynda Brauer, Center Director, (630) 351-1302 or lbrauer@klcorp.com.

Bloomingdale families are invited to schedule a time to visit. In addition, the center will host an Open House this week (August 6-10).
