Drug charges dismissed against Hoffman Estates sports bar patrons

Cook County prosecutors dismissed drug charges against three people arrested in February during the execution of a search warrant at a Hoffman Estates sports bar.

In the three weeks preceding the arrests, undercover officers purchased between 1.4 and 2.2 grams of cocaine for a total of $300 from former bartender Tiffany Hernandez of Streamwood, authorities said. Hernandez, 32, pleaded guilty to delivery and possession of cocaine and was sentenced to 30 months probation, including 12 months intensive probation.

Prosecutors on Wednesday dismissed possession charges against Christopher Beach, 47; Melanie Goranson, 25, and Michael Kenney, 48. Prosecutors say none of them had any previous criminal background.
