Beach in Island Lake closed

Island Lake’s Park Beach has been closed due to E. coli bacteria contamination, officials confirmed Wednesday. The Lake County Health Department ordered the closing. Goose droppings are believed to be responsible. Officials did not know when the beach would reopen.
