Night life events: Tunes keep Arlington Park hopping

A new concert series at Arlington Park keeps the party going after the last horses have raced some Fridays this summer. Catch Murley Shertz Friday, July 13. Get in on the all-inclusive bar package that includes a beer and wine open bar and a beer mug for $25 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Wednesday, woods and wine
Go for a social at the Morton Arboretum on Wednesdays for the woods and wine events. Now through Aug. 15, meet at Arbor Court from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays. For $15, enjoy a glass of Wente wine, an array of cheeses and live entertainment. Additional tapas and drinks available for purchase. The Ralph Covert Trio performs July 18.

Glenview House's ladies night — from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 — includes drinks, bites and a nightcap. Sip skinny cocktails including the Skinny Santini, a house-made sangria with Skinny Girl Vodka. Grilled treats include Vietnamese chicken skewers, sweet and sour shrimp and Mongolian beef tenderloin skewers.
