St. Charles North drill teams shine at camp

The St. Charles North varsity and junior varsity drill teams attended the Universal Dance Association camp June 24-28, competing with teams from around the country.

The varsity team received a Superior rating, qualifying them for UDA Nationals in January, 2013, in Orlando, Fla.

Both teams worked on technique and learned new dances throughout the four-day camp. The teams also received a combined eight Spirit Stick Awards for continued enthusiasm shown throughout camp.

Three senior varsity members were named UDA All-Stars, Allie Isabelli, Monique Perdue and Michelle Vezina.

Four junior varsity members also received All-Star recognition, Kassi Ams, Nikki Arnold, Lexi Artman and Kaleigh Bull. The camp was held at Illinois State University in Normal.

The drill teams are gearing up for the 2012-13 season and the 19th annual Kick-a-thon in September.
