Lawyer for Dwyane Wade’s wife wants out of case
The child custody battle between Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife took another twist with the 12th lawyer to represent Siohvaughn Funches-Wade asking to leave the case.
Attorney Michael Haber filed a motion on Monday saying his relationship with Funches-Wade has reached a point where he can no longer represent her.
Funches-Wade is accused of child abduction for allegedly failing to return their sons, ages 10 and five, to Wade in a timely manner over the Father’s Day weekend.
Wade is seeking a suspension of her visitation rights, or visitation only with supervision.
Funches-Wade asked that the court deny Haber’s request, citing dwindling resources and Haber’s familiarity with the case.
Cook County Associate Judge Helaine Berger gave Funches-Wade until Friday to file a response to Haber’s plea.
