Deck damaged in Algonquin house fire

No one was injured in a Saturday-morning fire at a house on the 1400 block of Lowe Drive in Algonquin, authorities said.
The blaze, which was spotted by a neighbor about 8:45 a.m., damaged the wooden deck of the house and some belongings, according to the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District.
The residents were able to safely evacuate the home. The fire was extinguished in three minutes.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. A loss estimate was not available.
