Bicyclist hurt in accident near Glendale Heights

DuPage County sheriff’s police are investigating an accident that injured a bicyclist near Glendale Heights Saturday morning.

The accident occurred around 10:10 a.m. at Bloomingdale Road and the Great Western Trail in an unincorporated area of DuPage County, according to a release from the sheriff’s department. The vehicle was traveling north on Bloomingdale Road and the teenage bicyclist was traveling west on the Great Western Trail when the collision occurred.

The bicyclist was transported to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Police closed off the inside northbound lane of Bloomingdale Road during the investigation. and is asking anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (630) 407-2400.
