Wauconda receives $100,000 grant
The village of Wauconda has received a $100,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to replace an old piece of infrastructure in one of the village’s sanitary sewer pumping stations. The village applied for the grant to replace part of the 40-year-old sewer before it failed completely. Officials are currently repairing the sewer pumping station, located near the Wauconda Park District offices.
