Ÿ Thomas A. Ryan, 42, of the 8900 block of West 73rd Street, Vernon Hills, was arrested around 1:20 a.m. June 23 at Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, and charged with criminal trespass and obstructing justice after he reportedly entered the casino with a stolen credit card, gave an officer a false name, and had been previously evicted from the casino. His court date is June 27.
Ÿ Andres Garcia, 40, of the 800 block of East Oakton Street, Des Plaines, was arrested around 5 p.m. June 23 on the 1100 block of East Thacker Street and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and driving with a revoked driver’s license. His court date is June 27.
Ÿ Aerin L. Nilsen, 20, of the 1700 block of Wicke Avenue, Des Plaines, and Matthew J. Petrillo, 21, of the 400 block of South Rammer, Arlington Heights, were arrested around 5:50 p.m. June 24 after a traffic stop on the 2300 block of River Road. Nilsen was charged with local ordinance consumption of alcohol by a minor.Petrillo was charged with local ordinances possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Their court date is Aug. 6.
Ÿ Burglars stole 60 CDs, portable DVD player, handheld game device and six games, and a diamond and sapphire tennis bracelet out of an unlocked 2007 Chrysler Pacifica in a lot at Suburban Transmission, 1500 Rand Road, between June 11 and 21. Value was estimated at $2,550.
Ÿ Thieves stole a black and white BMX bike and a silver scooter parked outside a restaurant at 444 S. River Road between 8:30 and 8:48 p.m. June 21. Value was estimated at $260.
Ÿ Thieves stole a catalytic converter from a 2006 Toyota Highlander in a lot at Holy Family Medical Center, 100 N. River Road, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. June 22. Value was estimated at $1,000.
Ÿ Burglars stole two chop saws, a reciprocating saw, air compressor, hammer drill, planer, and sander out of a garage at a home on the 200 block of East Washington Street between 11 p.m. June 22 and 9 a.m. June 23. Value was estimated at $1,600.
Ÿ Burglars stole a pair of designer sunglasses and loose change out of a 2002 Dodge SUV in a driveway on the 1300 block of South Wolf Road between 6 p.m. June 21 and 8 a.m. June 22. Value was estimated at $110.
Ÿ Thieves stole an iPod, video game player and game, men’s watch, two bottles of cologne, and a wireless USB modem out of a guest room at Hilton Garden Inn, 2930 S. River Road, between 11 a.m. and 11:15 p.m. June 23. Value was estimated at $622.
Ÿ Burglars stole an iPad valued at $800 out of a 2009 Toyota Camry in a lot at 3000 S. River Roadbetween 8:26 p.m. June 22 and 12:06 a.m. June 23.
Ÿ Burglars stole a mint green mountain bike with white lettering out of an unlocked garage at 510 E. Oakton St., between 9 p.m. June 21 and 7:30 a.m. June 22. Value was estimated at $600.Mount Prospect
Ÿ Eddie L. Moran, 24, of the 100 block of Hazelnut Drive, Streamwood, and Mike Campos, 27, of the 800 block of Prospect Street, Elgin, were arrested around 2:10 p.m. June 18 at Kensington and Pine after they reportedly stole two Blu-ray players, a stereo dock, children’s play set, fabric softener and toilet paper (value estimated at $429) from Wal-Mart, 930 Mount Prospect Plaza, Rand and Central roads. According to reports, they left in a car driven by a female friend who was not charged. Moran was charged with felony retail theft and has a July 11court date. Campos was charged with misdemeanor retail theft and has a July 13 court date.
Ÿ A vandal hurled a brick that broke the front glass door at FA Skateboards & Snowboards, 131 W. Prospect Ave., around 1:55 a.m. June 17. The burglar alarm alerted officers, but the offender had left without entering the store, reports said. Damage was estimated at $400.
Ÿ A man was seen on a security video taking a men’s green and silver mountain bike parked behind the Blues Bar, 2 W. Busse Ave., around 5:15 p.m. June 21. Value was estimated at $100.
