Mount Prospect man accused of assaulting ex’s daughters

A Mount Prospect man has been charged with sexually assaulting the daughters of woman he previously dated, according to police.

The victims’ mother contacted Mount Prospect police after learning her ex-boyfriend may have had inappropriate contact with her daughters, according to authorities.

Police began investigating the allegations against Juan C. Carbajal, 41, earlier this week and arrested him on Monday, officials said.

Carbajal is accused of inappropriate sexual contact with the girls, who are now ages 15 and 17, over a four-year period from 2008 through 2012, according to police.

The sexual assaults took place at Carbajal’s home on the 1100 block of Boxwood Drive and at the victims’ residence, police said.

Carbajal admitted to having a sexual relationship with both girls, according to police.

Prosecutors charged Carbajal with 11 counts of criminal sexual assault.

Police said the investigation did not indicate additional victims.

Carbajal appeared in bond court Wednesday morning and is being held on $250,000 bail.

He is due in court again at 10:30 a.m. July 12.
