Power lines close part of Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines

A portion of Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines is closed due to downed power lines.

Des Plaines Police Sgt. George Konieczny said Elmhurst Road is closed to traffic between Algonquin Road and Dempster Street. He expects crews to be on the scene for another hour or so.

Mount Prospect police are assisting.
