‘Kitchen Conversations’ set for July 6

The next “Kitchen Conversations” with the Lake County Haven, dedicated to empowering homeless women and their children to achieve permanent, independent living, will be at 7 p.m. Friday, July 6.

The Haven provides shelter, housing and professional services to its residents in the hopes they will never be homeless again. Kitchen Conversations are small gatherings at the main shelter in Libertyville where participants can learn about what causes homelessness and what can end it. Pressing issues affecting local homeless women and children also are discussed at the free monthly events.
