Blackhawks release 2012 preseason schedule

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today the team’s 2012 preseason schedule, which consists of six games against three NHL opponents: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Detroit.

The Blackhawks will open their preseason slate on Tuesday, Sept. 25, with a visit to Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center to take on the Flyers. The club will open their home preseason schedule on Friday, Sept. 28, when they host the Red Wings at the United Center.

Ticket and broadcast information for the preseason will be announced at a later date.

Tuesday, Sept. 25: at Philadelphia, Wells Fargo Center, 6 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 28: Detroit at United Center, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 29: at Detroit, Joe Louis Arena, 6 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 30: vs. Pittsburgh at United Center, 6 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 5: at Pittsburgh, Consol Energy Center, 6 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 6: vs. Philadelphia at United Center, 7:30 p.m.
