Friday on the Green Concert series opens June 15

The Village of Mount Prospect, in cooperation with the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Merchants Association is proud to present Friday Concerts on the Green in downtown Mount Prospect.

This Friday, June 15 we are excited to announce Diving For Dynamite with be performing. Diving for Dynamite (or D4D) features Ted Ansani, vocalist and guitar player, was a founding member of the beloved 90s Chicago band “Material Issue” and Brian Sheridan of “Ralph's World” fame plays the bass and also shares the lead vocals. The band is rounded out by drummer Eric Staffa and Chris Castelli on lead guitar. D4D incorporates songs from artists such as Cheap Trick, Blink 182, Lenny Kravitz, Green Day, and many more covering music that spans from the 60s to right now!

This Friday's concert is sponsored by Mount Prospect Childcare Center and Novak and Parker Home Appliance. To add to the fun of the evening, Novak and Parker will be holding a hula hoop contest starting at 5:45 so come a little early to join in!

Concerts are held the first and third Friday of each month June – September. Concerts are held on the Village Green in front of Village Hall at 50 S. Emerson Street. Shows begin at 6:00 p.m. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and pick up dinner or snacks at a local Mount Prospect restaurant, or enjoy a meal before or after the show.

The next show is July 6 and features Suburban Cowboys.
