Streamwood man charged with soliciting teen for sex
Police charged a 35-year-old Streamwood man with indecent solicitation after they say he offered to pay a teenage girl $300 to engage in a sexual act.
Anton Jones, of the 200 block of Ascot Lane, has been charged with a class 3 felony, punishable by two to five years in prison. Probation is also available.
Cook County Judge Jill Cerone Marisie set Jones’ bail at $10,000 Tuesday in Rolling Meadows.
Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Walsh said Jones sent the girl lewd text messages. During a subsequent phone call, the defendant — who became acquainted with the victim through another person — offered to pay the girl and her friend for sex, Walsh said.
Jones received supervision in 2011 for domestic battery, Walsh said. In 2010, he received supervision for driving on a suspended license and in 2007 he received conditional discharge for domestic battery, Walsh said.
Jones next appears in court on June 29.
