Wauconda unveils marketing team

Wauconda village officials have initiated a contract, formed a committee, and are ready to finalize plans for a three-month marketing project led by Robin Malpass & Associates, a Chicago-based marketing company. Village Administrator David Geary has identified 10 diverse longtime community members to be a part of an economic development steering committee to aid the company with its marketing plans. Geary said a kickoff meeting between the company and committee members take place at village hall, 109 W. Bangs St., on Tuesday, June 5. The fees of the project are said not to exceed $24,500. Following the meeting, Robin Malpass will discuss official marketing plans and the project’s next steps at a communications committee meeting, which is open to the public, in the building and zoning conference room in the village hall at 5:30 p.m. The regular village board meeting will be at 7 p.m.
