Resnick Automotive Group continues tent tradition
If you have only mildly considered buying a new pre-owned vehicle this year, think again. It’s time for the annual Resnick Automotive Group’s Giant Tent Event where more than 300 quality pre-driven vehicles will be available for purchase.
The Giant Tent Event sale runs June 4-9 at the southeast corner of the Woodfield Mall parking lot, near the Sears anchor store. Vehicles will be sold during mall hours, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“If there is any chance that you are going to be in the market for a new vehicle this year, whether it’s for a second vehicle or a back-to-school car, this is a must-attend event,” said Chris Haley, Schaumburg Toyota general manager. “We have the best used car selection in Chicago and the best prices on the planet. Most vehicles can be purchased for thousands less than the Kelly Blue Book Price.”
Haley has once again traveled the country to find the best used vehicles for this event. The focus is again on fuel-efficient vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers. Prices will range from cash-deal cars that buyers can purchase on the spot, to luxury cars just under $20,000. The bulk of the Tent Event offerings will range from $5,000 to $10,000.
Most vehicles for sale will be one-owner cars. They will be available with extended service contracts that cover mechanical breakdowns.
Pepsi and Carfax have partnered with the Resnick Auto Group to sponsor the event.
“Carfax brings value to the sale, so if you’re wondering about the car’s history, all you have to do is say, ‘Show me the Carfax,’ ” Haley said.
Another prime feature of the Giant Tent Event is the ease and availability of financing. Many cars will be available for $49 down payment and $99 per month, making them affordable for individuals who may otherwise not qualify to buy one in today’s economy.
A number of other financing options will also be available. Prices will be clearly marked on all cars and all offers will be considered.
“Given the sluggishness with the economy, we’re giving people the opportunity to get a great car with a full warranty at super low payments,” Haley said. “We have a whole department that specializes in second-chance credit so almost always, everyone who comes in will qualify for financing.”
The Giant Tent Event, which was instituted by Haley when he became general manager of Schaumburg Toyota in 2004, is now in its ninth year. Holding an off-site sales event such as this one is an additional way for the dealership to tap into its local market area.
“If you can say anything about this sale it, ‘We make it easy,’ ” Haley said. “This tent sale helps people in times like we have now when they are struggling. People deserve to drive a nice car and the warranty gives them peace of mind.”
For those who like to comparison shop, there will be all makes and models in one location, Haley said. “You’re not going to find just Toyotas at this sale.”
In addition to vehicles, free food and refreshments will be available every day during the Giant Tent Event. Freshly grilled hot dogs and hamburgers will be featured. No purchase is necessary.
