Temporary street closures in Wheaton

A pair of streets along the Wheaton stretch of Butterfield Road will be closed for about three weeks due to the ongoing widening and reconstruction of Butterfield.

On Monday, crews contracted by the Illinois Department of Transportation are scheduled to close Cromwell and Arrowhead drives where both streets intersect with Butterfield.

The closures are needed to reconstruct both intersections to include additional through lanes and new dedicated right- and left-turn lanes, IDOT officials said. Arrowhead traffic will be detoured to Wiesbrook Road, and Cromwell traffic will be detoured to Orchard Road.
