Coop and the Boomers get fresh cuts at Rooster’s

Schaumburg Boomers manager Jamie Bennett, a throng of Boomers players and, of course, Coop the Boomer stopped by Rooster’s Men’s Grooming Center to get a fresh haircut and shave in advance of Wednesday evening’s “Meet the Team Party,” held exclusively for Boomers season ticket holders and host families at Boomers Stadium.

Rooster’s Men’s Grooming Center, 1426 Meacham Road, in Schaumburg, signed on as a corporate partner of the Schaumburg Boomers.

Bennett and the players who made the Boomers final roster were treated to either a precision haircut or shave at Rooster’s Schaumburg location last week.

The Boomers players showed off their new looks May 18 when they opened the inaugural season of Boomers baseball in Avon, Ohio, against the Lake Erie Crushers.

Listen to the voice of the Boomers, Tim Calderwood, for every Boomers road game on 1410 AM WRMN, Elgin, and on boomersbaseball.com.

The only way to get an invite to the exclusive “Meet the Team Party” is to become a Schaumburg Boomers season ticket holder or host family.

While you may have missed your chance to attend the party this year, it’s not too late to get your Boomers season tickets or to sign up to be a host family, which includes perks such as free season tickets and more.

Call the Boomers today at (847) 461-3695 to find out how you can be a host family in 2012 and beyond.

Limited tickets are still available for the Boomers first home game Friday, May 25, when Chicago’s newest professional franchise plays host to the Florence Freedom at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the first 4,000 fans will take home a free T-shirt.

The opener will also be the first time the Boomers power-on the new HD video board, which was installed earlier this month.

For tickets call the Boomers at (847) 461-3695 visit boomersbaseball.com, or drop by the Boomers Box Office during regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
