Roselle library fills trustee vacancy
Because she’s a regular patron with a savvy for marketing and finance, officials said Sue Ellen Eichholz is the perfect fit to fill a vacancy on the Roselle Public Library board of trustees.
Eichholz will fill the seat of former Trustee Renee Riley, who stepped down in March when she moved out of state. Riley served for about three years and now Eichholz’s seat will expire on April 9, 2013.
Officials chose Eichholz from among five candidates.
“We were pleased to have five very qualified applicants, which made the decision difficult,” library board President Elaine Pizzicaro said.
But Pizzicaro said Eichholz stood out due to her marketing degree from Benedictine University in Lisle and her business experience. Previously, Eichholz worked as an event planner who was responsible for marketing and budgeting trade shows. Currently, she and her husband run the Roselle-based All Point Property Services, Inc.
In addition, she is involved with the Roselle Chamber of Commerce, the Roselle Garden Club and is president of the International Moms Club of Schaumburg.
Most importantly, she said, she and her two children are heavily involved with library programs.
“I thought it would be good to get more involved and see if there were other options to help within the community,” she said.
Eichholz will be sworn in at the June 13 board meeting.
