S. Elgin Lions offer free screenings June 1

Deafness has no respect for age, wealth or rank – it strikes people of all economic, social and age categories with equal frequency.

To help protect the public through early detection and public awareness, the South Elgin Lions Club and the Lions of Illinois Foundation are teaming up to offer free hearing screenings for everyone over the age of 18 or minors, age 10 to 17 with written parental consent, on Friday, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heritage Woods of South Elgin, 700 N. McLean Blvd.

“Since the protection of our hearing is so important, we hope that the people of our community will take full advantage of this screening” stated Chairman Lion Linda Scham.

The mobile hearing screening is made possible through the Lions of Illinois Foundation, the charitable arm of the State of Illinois' more than 700 Lions Clubs.
